Information reaching indicates that actor Chris Atto's wife has been shot dead in the United States of America, according to twitter user Jackie Benson. His new wife, Jennifer was shot dead in the U.S by a gunman.

Bettie Jenifer, according to the report left the office in the 6300 block of Ivy Lane and was walking to her vehicle when the man armed with a handgun approached her.

Police are searching for a gunman who fatally shot 44-year-old Bettie Jenifer in the head in the parking lot of a Maryland office building on Friday.

Actor Chris Attoh has jetted off to Maryland, US after receiving news about the murder of his recently married spouse Bettie Jenifer, the incident which happened Friday night.

The police have declared the gunman, who allegedly fled in a blue auto after the act, wanted.

The actor had deleted pictures of the wife from his Instagram account fueling rumours that their marriage could be hitting the rocks.

It was alleged that they had broken up but neither of the two has publicly confirmed or denied the story.
