Fans of James Bond were in for a treat on Thursday as the cast took part in a live launch confirming that filming had started in Jamaica.

The announcement was made from Bond creator Ian Fleming's estate in Jamaica, where Fleming first came up with the idea of 007.

Fukunaga said they already filmed in Norway "due to weather", and there are plans to continue production at locations in London (including Pinewood Studios) and the "hilltop town" of Matera, Italy.

Joining the cast are: Lashana Lynch, David Denick, Ana De Armas, Dali Benssalah and Billy Magnussen. "We've got quite a ride in store for Mr. Bond".

"Bond is not on active service when we start the film", producer Barbara Broccoli explained. "Bond won't have an easy ride of it in this, his 25th outing", he said. A mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist quickly unravels and leads Bond on a trail to a mysterious villain armed with risky new technology.

Daniel Craig is set to reprise his role as the dashing British MI6 spy one more time, in a film directed by Cary Fukanaga.

Measles outbreaks may become more frequent if vaccination rates continue to decline
The three Maryland cases join the reports of up to 90 new ones recorded in the second week of April across the nation. People who had the two-dose MMR vaccines are said to be protected against measles for life with 97 percent efficacy.

Reacting from Jamaica, lead star Daniel Craig joked that he was "scared" by his new screen nemesis.

Oscar victor Rami Malek has been announced as taking on the role of the suave Secret Service agent's latest nemesis. All of this meant that the original Q3 2018 release date has been pushed back twice already and is now about a year away.

The Playlist, an industry news site, reported that Scott Z. Burns has been hired to rewrite the original script by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. And that's it. Guess we're back to waiting again.

It feels like somewhat of a stretch to say Bond 25 has been a troubled production, but it's clear that it hasn't been smooth sailing for the film.

Fukunaga took over directing from Danny Boyle, who departed previous year over creative differences.

Bond 25, whatever it ends up being called, will arrive in United Kingdom cinemas on 3 April 2020, with a USA release penned in for 8 April.
