American actor Nicolas Cage has filed for an annulment of his marriage, just four days marrying his partner, Erika Koike.

However, less than a week later, the 55-year-old has allegedly filed the documents necessary for an annulment.

A source told the Daily Mail: "They started by filling the application in at one of the machines".

Cage is believed to be arguing that he was drunk when he made his vows in Las Vegas.

Cage and makeup artist Erika Koike applied for a wedding license on 23 March and were Wednesday the very same day in Las Vegas, Nevada. We may never know!

New Zealand's top online marketplace Trade Me Group said it was halting the sale of semi-automatic weapons after Friday's attack. The decision was motivated by "respect for the people affected by this tragedy and the concerns of local authorities", she said.

Cage began dating Koike in April 2018 and took their relationship to the next level on Saturday. They were photographed together again in May of that year while out to dinner in Los Angeles, reported People.

The actor shocked his fans last week when he was spotted at a Las Vegas courthouse applying for a marriage license with Erika. They received their marriage certificate on the same day, court records show. He is asking for a divorce, if an annulment is not possible.

This has been the Oscar-winning actor's fourth marriage. This week was particularly memorable for the Cage man, however, as he got both married and divorced.

He has two sons, 28-year-old Weston Coppola Cage, whose mother is Cage's former long-term partner Christina Fulton, and Kal-El, whose mother is Kim.
