Chicago police on Wednesday released a portion of their investigative reports in the case of actor Jussie Smollett, a day after prosecutors dropped all charges that had accused him of falsely reporting a hate crime against himself.

On Tuesday, prosecutors made a decision to drop charges against Mr. Smollett, causing nearly universal outrage, including from Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the city's police commissioner. "To think that there is some type of infirmity or something that we learned about the case or something that we don't want aired is not true". "R. Kelly and Felicity Huffman - you're free to go".

Harris initially described Smollett's alleged hate-crime attack as an "attempted modern-day lynching" - but walked back those comments a month later after he was charged. "He's the luckiest man in the world for not going to jail", Wendy, who declared Smollett as guilty since the start of his legal situation, said.

"There's some people who were never gonna be satisfied unless Mr. Smollett spent many nights in prison, and then there were others who believed that the charging of 16 counts of disorderly conduct was excessive", she said in the interview. After questioning the men, police later said the actor had paid them to stage the attack as a way to gain publicity. It's the prosecution's, the state of IL that chose to come forward and charge Mr. Smollett with 16 counts, 16 separate counts from the same incident. "We are very happy with this result", she said.

But when Magats dropped the charges, he said the Chicago Police Department "did a phenomenal job" in the investigation.

Fox Entertainment and 20th Century Fox Television issued the following statement after the charges against Smollett were dropped: "Jussie Smollett has always maintained his innocence and we are gratified that all charges against him have been dismissed".

Barr Expected To Deliver Mueller Report Summary On Sunday
Mueller has concluded his investigation of Russian election interference and possible coordination with Donald Trump's campaign. Barr has a lot of control over how much information will be made public and even revealed to Congress and Trump himself.

"No, there was no political influence in this case".

'This is a whitewash of justice, ' mayor Rahm Emanuel said of the dropped charges. "In America today, people of wealth and privilege can escape accountability for the same acts that mainstream Americans cannot", said Project 21 Co-Chairman Horace Cooper.

The decision to file a fresh set of charges against Jussie Smollett now rests in the hands of John Lausch, Chicago's US Attorney who was handpicked by President Trump. "Jussie's thing with the law has definitely benefitted in terms of everyone's talking about you, you're the lead story on everything", Wendy, who recently made headlines of her own after admitting she's been living in a sober house, said.

Not so, said Joyce, a lawyer and former assistant Cook County state's attorney. "He's asking for this,"' she said. In return, prosecutor say, the actor agreed to let the city keep his $10,000 in bail. No one will ever know how much that has meant to me, and I will be forever grateful.

The writers of the show seemed happy too, posting a series of supportive tweets. She said she recused herself from the case before Smollett was charged, and had no further contact with Smollett, his family, or anyone representing him after his arrest.
