A mum and daughter allegedly killed five members of their family - including two nine-year-old twins - in a horrific attack.

Meanwhile, it's been alleged that the mother said that everybody "had been talking about suicide", which leads to a potential motive of what investigators are describing as what might have been a murder-suicide pact between the mother and daughter.

According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Keeley, Shana Decree told police that everyone at the apartment "wanted to die".

According to the court documents, both Shana and Dominque say several of the victims were choked to death. "I just spoke with the family of the five of the deceased and we're all heartbroken".

Shana Decree and Dominique Decree were also found in the apartment and rushed to the hospital - one was found unconscious and the other was seizing.

Both Shana and Dominique Decree were both hospitalized before they were taken into police custody, where they originally claimed Shana's boyfriend and two other men killed their relatives, but spared their lives, WGAL reported.

According to the complaint, police found the five bodies in a bedroom.

Shana was jailed without bail after her preliminary arraignment in the pre-dawn hours on Tuesday (local time).

They were found dead in a bedroom at the Robert Morris apartments in Morrisville on Monday afternoon. It wasn't immediately clear how the family members died.

The accused killers told police that the two mothers took turns killing their children before the older Decree strangled her sister.

There were also five bodies: those of Shana Decree's children, Naa'Irah Smith, 25, and Damon Decree Jr., 13; her sister, Jamilla Campbell, 42; and Campbell's 9-year-old twin girls, Imani and Erika Allen. They were subsequently arrested and each charged with five counts of homicide and one charge of conspiracy to commit criminal homicide.

Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub confirmed that two women were found alive inside the residence, which is on the first of an apartment building in Morrisville, a borough near Trenton, about 24 miles (39 kilometers) northeast of Pennsylvania.

Shana Decree was arraigned early Tuesday, while her daughter was expected to make her initial court appearance later in the day.

Authorities who had been looking for Campbell's 17-year-old son Joshua found him in Willingboro, New Jersey, where he was staying with friends, McClay said.
