Piers Morgan shared Kensington Palace's post about the poorest families struggling to feed their children during school holidays and compared it to Markle's extravagant baby shower saying that it was a "strange thing to post" from the palace considering how expensive Markle's baby celebration was.

The party activities include a lesson in flower arranging and the guests will receive more than a goodie bag... instead rolling out with an Away suitcase worth $275!

"We all each made an individual vase", Gayle said on the USA breakfast show.

"A lot of the distance happened between Meghan when she went to Toronto and her first big break in TV which was Suits and it turned out to be a big hit in the United States of America", he added.

This, coupled with her two flights at £100,000 and £200,000 respectively would have resulted in costs of £420,000 at the very least. She's kind, she's very generous.

King said those arrangements were then donated, at Markle's request, to different charities through the organization Repeat Roses.

This man seems really chill for someone who just lost $75 off a painting and got zero recognition from the superstars.

Serena Williams, Amal Clooney, Jessica Mulroney and Abigail Spencer were among the celebrity pals present at her baby shower at The Mark hotel in the Upper East Side.

Meanwhile, the Daily Telegraph - said to be the Queen's favoured newspaper each morning - reported the "glamour" of the American gathering may have "surpassed" Ms Markle's wedding a year ago to Prince Harry.

"It was a very, very small, private affair and just a very special time for her", King said.

Her departure came at the end of a busy five-night, six-day trip that saw her catching up with friends, enjoying several meals at some of the city's best restaurants, and being the guest of honor at her baby shower on Wednesday before flying home. "CBS This Morning" co-host Norah O'Donnell asked.

She added: "Can you be a self-identifying global humanitarian and have a £300,000-plus baby shower held for your already fabulously privileged unborn child?"

"If I told you, Norah, I'd have to kill you. I get it", he said.
