Lost in translation? Ariana Grande fixes tattoo gone wrong

The singer's brand new tattoo is no longer "embarrassing.' Ariana Grande chose to fix her palm ink after her followers told her the Japanese characters did not say '7 Rings" as she was intending but 'BBQ Grill!'

Grande, 25, revealed her new "7 Rings" inspired palm tattoo on Tuesday via Instagram.

"Slightly better. Thanks to my tutor for helping me fix and to @kanenavassard for being a legend".

A BuzzFeed Japan reporter was quick to point out that the new, incorrect placement of the additional kanji characters actually made it read "Japanese BBQ finger".

Most recently, it was after she had a tattoo removed that read "8414", the badge number of "Saturday Night Live" star Pete Davidson's late firefighter dad who died in the attacks on September 11th. That's all well and good, but fans quickly pointed out her tattoo actually translates to shichirin, or "small barbecue grill." .

At that, time will tell if the Resident Evil 2 Remake launch trailer just happens to be showing some poor voice acting moments. THe mode will feature randomised elements, an in-game shop without microtransactions but points which can be earned in-game.

Acknowledging the error on her Twitter account, she wrote in a now-deleted message: "Indeed, I left out [some characters] which should have gone in between".

Grande was quick to make light of the situation, remarking that she's a "huge fan of tiny bbq grills" and that she stopped short of inking the full phrase due to pain in a series of now-deleted tweets. "Miss u man. i actually really like u", the "Sweetener" star quipped in an Instagram Story with a shot of some new symbols scrawled on her palm.

But Grande included the new character below the original tattoo with a drawing of a heart, instead, which resulted in the ink making even less sense than the original. If it's read left to right, it still translates to "small barbecue grill finger ♥".

But get this, sources close to TMZ are saying that Ariana Grande's tattoo edit still doesn't read or convey "7 Rings" as intended.
