Photos show the squalid basement "cell" where Jayme Closs was allegedly held captive by Jake Thomas Patterson.

Investigators believe Jayme was at the home when her parents were killed, and that Patterson abducted her from there, Fitzgerald said.

The charging document says that when Mr Patterson eventually stormed the family home by the front door, Jayme and her mother, Denise Closs, took refuge in the bathroom.

Tremblay says it will take time for Closs to resume a regular routine, but if she does come back to Riverview, she would have a flexible schedule with plenty of breaks.

"We believe Jayme was the target, and he (Patterson) was getting rid of possible barriers to taking her", Fitzgerald said.

"All I know is that she was able to get out of that house and get help and the people recognized her as Jayme Closs right away", Fitzgerald said over the weekend. The AP reports the complaint states that Patterson told investigators that he had to stop behind a school bus one day while driving to work at a cheese factory near Almena, Wisconsin.

Records show that defendant Jake Thomas Patterson's father transferred the title of the cabin near Gordon to Superior Choice Credit Union on October 23, eight days after the October 15 attack at the Closs family's home near Barron, which is about 60 miles (100 kilometers) south of Gordon.

She said during an appearance on Good Morning America that Jayme should take her time to try and build a "new normal" with her relatives.

She was released from the hospital Friday and reunited with relatives in Barron, Wisconsin, and with her dog, Molly.

Smart told investigators she was raped daily and threatened with death if she tried to escape.

Her aunts say they're surrounding Jayme Closs with love and attention.

Authorities in Las Vegas would then determine whether it matches genetic material found on Mayorga's dress. On the same day Mayorga says she was raped, she went to the police to report it and had a rape kit done.

After escaping last week Jayme was found, skinny and disheveled, about 60 miles away.

Smart added that on top of the trauma Jayme has experienced, she does not have to let it define who she becomes. Charging documents released Monday could shed more light on the case.

Neighbors called 911, and officers arrested Patterson within minutes.

Kasinskas told CNN she and her husband retrieved a gun they kept inside the house and brought the skinny teenager, with unkempt hair and oversized shoes, into the living room.

"I believe it's a message to us here in Barron and people all over, you can't overestimate the power of prayer", Robinson said.

Nutter was walking her golden retriever Henry on a road in Gordon, Wis., Thursday when she came across the disheveled 13-year-old girl. She is now Jayme's legal guardian.

"No, and my mom, her heart has been just broken since Jayme was gone", Smith said.

Patterson was formally charged Monday on two counts of First Degree Intentional Homicide, one count of Kidnapping, and one count of Armed Burglary, according to online court records.

As Jayme Closs starts her road to recovery following her kidnapping, investigators are trying to piece together what happened during the almost three months she was in captivity. I'll never, ever forget her screaming, "Sue! Sue!" Her grandfather, Robert Naiberg, told The Associated Press that Jayme told Federal Bureau of Investigation agents she doesn't know Patterson at all.

Public defenders Charles Glynn and Richard Jones say it's been an emotional time for the community of Barron, and they understand the pain the case has generated. Jayme was nowhere to be found. Her family says they don't know Patterson.
