The aunt of Wisconsin teenager who disappeared after her parents were killed in the family's home says the girl escaped from where she was being held and ran to a woman walking her dog for help.

Nutter asked Jayme what sort of vehicle the person who took her was driving, in case they needed to run.

They rushed to the nearest home, which happened to be that of Kasinskas.

"I was at the right place at the right time", the woman said.

"I was terrified, but I didn't want to show her that", Nutter told the AP. A suspect is taken into custody.

"Oh my gosh", Allard told CNN affiliate WCCO between sobs. I mean, how she got out, we don't know that yet, you know, it wasn't just on her own. The two went to the home of Peter and Kristin Kasinskas, who said Jayme was skinny and dirty, wearing shoes too big for her feet, but appeared outwardly OK.

The only differences that Kasinkas could see were that Closs looked thinner "than her photograph" and exhausted. "From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!" he wrote in the news release on Thursday. The FBI offered a cash reward for information on her whereabouts and hunters in the area were also urged to be on the lookout for clues. He said investigators do not believe Patterson had any contact with the family.

We are planning a press briefing approximately 10 am tomorrow at the Sheriff's Department in Barron.

On "America's Newsroom" Friday, Fuhrman noted that authorities said they believe Closs was Patterson's "only target", and Patterson, who had no prior criminal record, "planned his actions and took many steps to hide his identity".

The power supplier said it is evaluating power outages in surrounding areas and investigating the cause of the fire. A massive transformer explosion in New York City lit up the night sky Thursday with an impressive blue light show.

Let's hope that authorities can identify the person responsible for Jayme's abduction and the murder of her parents, James, 56, and Denise Closs, 46. An anonymous 911 call led authorities to discover their bodies.

James and Denise Closs were shot dead in their home in Wisconsin last October.

They had been fatally shot at the home outside Barron but their daughter was nowhere to be found.

Both the woman and the neighbour recognised Jayme from the massive publicity the case has drawn, authorities said.

October 24, 2018 - The FBI offers a $25,000 reward for information leading to Jayme's location.

Shortly after she was found, a suspect in the case was taken into custody.

Jayme escaped from the suspect's home, authorities said, but the circumstances in which she did so were not released. Fitzgerald said he didn't know whether Patterson owned the home there or whether it was the only location where he had allegedly held the girl.

"This case has been very trying on the family so please respect their privacy and we reunite them later tonight", Fitzgerald's said.
