Google says that the Assistant is going to work with many other media and entertainment devices later this year.

Today before their very big booth opens at CES 2019, Google announced a pretty incredible statistic regarding the Google Assistant: it's about to become available on over one billion devices worldwide. First on the list is feature phones, believe it or not - Google thinks that there's the potential for the Assistant to make things like typing easier on those phones, despite their limited capabilities. It will be scaling up that beta test in the coming weeks, however, as long as the test continues to go as planned, it shouldn't be much longer until Google Assistant is available on Sonos smart speakers. Statistics show that about one in 50 Alexa users have made a purchase using Amazon's virtual assistant.

You can control the volume of the TV, turn your TV on and off, switch inputs, or launch select apps via Google Assistant and Alexa. All told, there are more than 150 products with Alexa built in and it's from these devices combined that we've got the current Alexa figure.

LG smart TVs will let you run both Amazon routines and Google Assistant commands in one set, letting you get the best of both smart ecosystems without having to commit to just one.

Paul Pogba: Manchester United are now playing as they should do - offensively
David Brooks floated a ball into the United box and Ake jumped highest to bury a header past David de Gea . Pogba soon doubled their lead, as he headed home Ander Herrera's sweeping cross.

Now, that number is rapidly approaching one billion devices, all of which will have Assistant (in some form) by the end of January.

The assistant which is compatible with 10,000 smart home devices, ranging more than 1,600 brands not only reached a wider audience, but Google also added a number of features to make it smarter. However, it is unclear how many people use this feature on their smartphone.

Although Google Assistant will soon be available on ten times as many devices, Amazon Alexa is supported by almost three times as many smart home products.
