Timberwolves to trade Butler to Sixers

ESPN later reported that the Wolves would be receiving a pair of players, Robert Covington and Dario Saric from Philadelphia in return.

The trade should not be such a shock with Butler having blasted his Timberwolves team-mates following a defeat earlier this season. He had turned down a contract extension offer from the Wolves over the offseason. With a history of coming up big in clutch moments, Butler is a legitimate threat to beating opponents single-handedly and completes its "Big 3" alongside All-Stars Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. "I just had a conversation about that very thing with somebody - not important who - but I put so much into this game, and I only play to win".

Butler's next destination has been a talking point since late September, when he told Timberwolves coach and President of Basketball Operations Tom Thibodeau that he desired to be traded.

As you might expect, NBA Twitter had some fun with the news. Sources say the NBA All-Star has been traded to the Philadelphia Sixers.

Kavanaugh accuser confesses she made up claims to 'get attention'
Kavanaugh was questioned about the letter in September under oath and categorically denied the allegations. She says she did this to get attention and now I suspect she's going to get all she wanted and more.

Jimmy Butler is finally on the move. They weren't happy, Jimmy wasn't happy.

Embiid and Butler are two of the better trash-talkers in the league, and now together on the same team, they will be able to do some serious damage when it comes to talking trash.

The Celtics will certainly have their hands full the next time they face the Sixers. What could go wrong?
