Interestingly, this Elizabeth never offered to parents of their other daughter-in-law Kate Middleton: Duchess of Cambridge's parents did not stay with family for the holidays.

It's nearly Christmas time and it seems like the royal family will have another guest on their annual Christmas's Party, not counting those who are newly married to the family.

When Meghan Markle rings in her first Christmas at the royal family's Sandringham House at Norfolk this year, she could have a very special family member by her side: her mother.

Doria won widespread praise for her dignity at the royal wedding following weeks of family drama surrounding Meghan's father, Thomas Markle. In her hotel room remained mum Doria Raglan. Their Christmas schedule stays pretty much the same year after year - signing cards in the Summer, taking the royal train to Sandringham, black-tie dinner and drinks on Christmas Eve - and this year, there will be a new addition to the royal festivities.

Doria took her place beside her new extended family in the official wedding portraits.

Mr Markle was due to walk his daughter down the aisle but pulled out at the last minute after it emerged he had staged paparazzi pictures in the days prior to it.

Buckingham Palace told The Sun Online they were unable to comment on private matters concerning the royal family.
