Josh Gordon's tenure with the Cleveland Browns is coming to an end as general manager John Dorsey announced in a statement that the club will release the receiver on Monday.

Gordon was ruled out for the Saints game on Saturday due to a hamstring injury despite no mention of the issue on the injury report during the week. "Unfortunately, we've reached a point where we feel it's best to part ways and move forward".

Though Gordon is set to be released Monday, there still is a possibility the Browns will be able to trade him. Per a report from Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Browns were anxious Gordon had a relapse in his substance abuse addiction.

Gordon's best season came in 2013 when he made the Pro Bowl after registering 1,646 receiving yards and nine touchdowns for the Browns. He did not play in either 2015 or 2016.

Cynthia Nixon Unusual Bagel Order Is Causing Quite The Stir
Nixon, meanwhile, is hoping several recent missteps by Cuomo and his campaign come back to bite him. Joe Crowley in the 14th Congressional District race was a "political upset", according to Pehme.

Substantial trouble of some kind returned to Gordon's life earlier this summer.

Although the Browns never provided an official reason behind Gordon's release, it was reported by The Athletic's Zac Jackson that Gordon was late to the team facility Saturday morning. He was away from the team for nearly the first full month of training camp and did not begin practicing until last week. They activated him, albeit on the non-football-injury list.

Josh Gordon's time with the Cleveland Browns is over. Although he was still recovering from a hamstring injury suffered shortly after he reported for camp, Gordon surprisingly took 69 snaps (78% of Cleveland's offensive plays) last Sunday in the 21-21 tie against Pittsburgh. Something changed that on Saturday.
