As CNET points out, the move underscores the progress that OnePlus has achieved on its own, however. And it now looks like the first carrier partnership will be with T-Mobile. OnePlus will also sell unlocked versions of the phone in the USA, which will be able to use other carriers such as AT&T.

The 6T is allegedly launching in October, and there will be a specific version "optimized for T-Mobile's network".

According to a new report from CNET, that will be changing this year as the OnePlus 6T is expected to be sold both unlocked through OnePlus's website and by T-Mobile in the United States. Now, we are not sure how accurate this is, but rumors have pointed to a similar time-frame for the launch of the new OnePlus smartphone. Reportedly, it is speculated that the OnePlus 6T will be priced somewhere around $550 that will be a hike of $20 in comparison to the current flagship's price tag. And why shouldn't it, the company makes flagship killer phones that can take on the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S9, Apple iPhone X, etc, and sells it for half the price.

While OnePlus phones are popular among their fans, chances are that someone wouldn't know what a "OnePlus" is if you stopped and asked them on the street. OnePlus' "T" revisions typically offer slight tweaks to the main generational upgrades released earlier in the year, so perhaps we'll see minor tweaks to the OnePlus 6's design or, more specifically, its controversial notch. Indeed, most Americans still buy their smartphones from their carriers, and a smartphone's popularity is often dictated by it's availability at carrier stores. OnePlus phones don't have some of the bells and whistles like a 1440p display, wireless charging, and a microSD card slot, but the price is right. Basically, the OnePlus 6T will cost much more than its predecessor. Still, if you've been hoping for carrier support for OnePlus before you pick one up, that wait may be coming to an end soon.

Sources confirm that the OnePlus 6T will launch in October.
