Kelvin Benjamin just brushed off Cam Newton like a defensive back. leaving Cam hanging on a high five and exchanging heated words with the QB - and it's all on video.

The comments that got the attention of Newton and plenty of other people - including Buffalo Coach Sean McDermott - featured this passage: "If you would've put me with any other quarterback, let's be real, you know what I'm saying?"

Kelvin Benjamin and Cam Newton met up publicly and talked ahead of the Bills and Panthers preseason game Thursday.

While Newton seemed initially friendly during the meeting, neither man was smiling as Benjamin started to walk away from him. Benjamin was traded to Buffalo during the season a year ago. Newton followed, trying to catch up, before seeming to give up.

Tropical storm warning posted for Big Island
Closer to the USA mainland, Hurricane John is strengthening in bathlike ocean water south of the Baja Peninsula. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Ileana is trailing behind John and had been expected to become a hurricane, too.

"Moving on from it", Benjamin said repeatedly. However, the players will finally get a chance for live action as they face the Buffalo Bills in the first preseason game.

Benjamin was later asked if this was at all hard for him considering how close he and Newton were when his career began in Carolina.

Newton declined to speak to reporters after the game, but Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis, who was talking with Benjamin before Newton arrived, said of the brush-up: "Just brothers having a conversation, that's really all it was".
