The two main cameras have color and black-and-white sensors respectively, and they combine for better low-light performance, according to Moto. The device will be Verizon exclusive in the U.S. and the company also announced the 5G Moto Mod which allows the Moto Z3 to access Verizon's 5G network. Motorola hasn't announced any plans for worldwide expansion, so it's unclear if the phone - or the 5G Moto Mod - will ever arrive here in Australia.

Hi. We will not be launching any more moto z's this year. It also announced an upcoming 5G Moto Mod that will be compatible with the Z3.

As far as pricing and availability are concerned, the Moto Z3 is a Verizon exclusive, and it will be available on August 16.

The phone comes with a monthly plan of $20 per month for 24 months on Verizon. Verizon says it will also offer rebates for the Z3 via trade-in, though details were sparse as this story was published.

Coming to the smartphone, the Moto Z3 features a 6000 series aluminium frame with rounded corners.

US Welcomes Remains Of War Dead Soldiers From North Korea
Byrd said he couldn't say how long it would take to make a first identification or identify all of the remains. US officials say they have already contacted the family of a service member whose dog tag was returned.

First, the phone. It has a 6-inch AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of built-in storage, and a microSD card slot that can host cards up to 2TB. The Chicago-based smartphone maker launched the device at an event in its backyard early this morning and the most interesting part here is that Motorola is still trying to convince people that modular smartphones make sense. So, it has made a decision to circumvent the cost of up-to-date native components and forward the cost to a Moto Mod. The difference, of course, is that this accessory enables 5G connectivity - a bold step toward the realization of 5G as a standard that will eventually be supported by mobile devices in the future.

Something to look forward to: Motorola's new 5G Moto Mod is compelling but the subscription aspect sounds a bit suspect.

In addition to those next-generation radios, the new accessory carries a 2,000-mAh battery to offset potential increases in battery drain. The mod will work with other Z phones, and will double or triple the existing speeds, even if it isn't the full 5G experience. The flagship is crammed with a 3000mAh battery but the 5G Moto Mod delivers an extra 2,000mAh battery power when connected. After the announcement, Motorola demoed a prototype version of the Mod inside its headquarters, in a specialized room where engineers could control the strength of the signal.

The 5G Mod's got a little antenna bump at the top there.
