Neymar was given a rough ride in Brazil's disappointing 1-1 draw with Switzerland on Sunday, fouled 10 times during the match, the most for any player in a single World Cup game for 20 years.

The Switzerland clash was his first competitive game for almost four months after a broken bone in his right foot ended his club season with Paris Saint-Germain in February.

"There was a lot of pressure and it was translated into too much speed in our last move and that means you are not precise", he said in his post-game press conference.

A stunning individual run and finish on his return in a pre-tournament friendly against Croatia and his 55th worldwide goal against Austria a week later appeared to quash fears over his fitness. However, he seemed optimistic for his run in the world cup.

While Brazil's stunning collapse in the semi-final of the 2014 World Cup is still fresh in most football fans' minds, the Selecao seem to have erased their memories of that 7-1 debacle against Germany.

It's believed the issue is related to his ankle, the same ankle he was favouring after taking more than one whack in that area during the course of the game against Switzerland. This was a bit of a challenge. "There is a kind of inner peace that we've been building up".

SERBIA 1, COSTA RICA 0: Aleksandar Kolarov scored from a left-footed free kick in the 56th minute and Serbia opened with a victory at Samara, Russia.

Only a handful of players could replicate those numbers, and none of them are in Brazil's squad.

Neymar addressed the upcoming match in the video, saying: "There are high expectations for the second game".

One of the photos showed the playmaker touching the ball with his injured right ankle. "I think it will be a great game. It's important to have this teamwork", added Lichtsteiner.

But the spotlight will also be on Coutinho, whose performance against Switzerland contrasted with Neymar's lackluster showing.
