Roseanne: 'I Begged Them Not To Cancel The Show'

"And I'm like, 'That's impossible.' Like, I was groggy, but I'm like, 'That's impossible, 20 million people are watching that show.' And she said, 'She tweeted something racist'".

"I would rather say nothing than cause more trouble", Goodman told Entertainment Tonight while exiting an auto fix shop in New Orleans.

Trump on Thursday repeated his complaint that Disney chief Bob Iger has not apologized to him for anti-Trump comments made by ABC personalities, something he believes is a double standard since Iger reached out to Valerie Jarrett, the former top aide to President Obama who was the target of Barr's racist comments.

He also added that he's been "baffled" by Barr's continued affiliation with Donald Trump, who called to congratulate her on Roseanne's massive ratings when it premiered.

Just days after ABC pulled the plug on Roseanne Barr's hit sitcom, Roseanne, because of the actor's racist tweets, the show's namesake is still talking. Asked if he was OK with ABC canceling the show before it could be considered for Emmy Awards, Goodman shrugged it off. Barr created a firestorm this week when she posted a tweet likening former Obama White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett to an ape. After assuring that "everything's fine" with him personally, the acclaimed star and character actor of numerous films and television series went on to say of the Twitter controversy, "No, no, I don't know anything about it. I will examine all of my options carefully and get back to U [sic]".

Google Revamps YouTube Music, Adds YouTube Premium
YouTube Premium ($11.99) is the replacement of YouTube Red ($9.99) and includes YouTube Music Premium ($9.99) access. YouTube Music starts to roll out from Tuesday in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and South Korea.

Hours after the initial tweet, however, ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey released a statement canceling Roseanne as a result of Barr's statement.

She encouraged her Twitter fans to emulate the organization of the Follow Back Resistance Party, which she described to followers as "an organized group that boycotts conservatives, Trump and middle of the road ideas-they muster up their folk to make thousands of calls to take ppl off the public airwaves".

Today, she offered yet another apology as well as "forgiveness" for Roseanne co-stars Sara Gilbert and Michael Fishman. She wrote, as CNN reports:"guys I did something unforgivable, so do not defend me".

Six of Goodman's 11 Emmy nominations between 1988 and 2010 came from his role on Roseanne, so he may have a point. "ME", Barr wrote. "You throw me under the bus. nice!" It was 2 in the morning and I was ambien tweeting - it was memorial day too - I went 2 far & do not want it defended - it was egregious indefensible. Yes, I have had odd ambien experiences on tweeting late at night-like many other ppl do.
