Every four years, artists are given the change to perform for over 2 billion people worldwide during the finale of the World Cup. On the latter note, Billboard confirmed an initial report from Vibe that Will Smith and Nicky Jam, along with Kosovar singer Era Istrefi, will perform the official song for the 2018 World Cup.

According to a recent interview with Nicky Jam's manager Juan Diego Medina that aired on W Radio, Jam and Smith were in Budapest wrapping up the record, which is set to be released on Friday (May 25).

However, no World Cup can be complete without an anthem that will have the spectators singing along the entire summer.

"Nicky Jam and Will Smith are producing the new copa de fĂștbol, they're doing it together", Nelson said.

Deadline looms for voter registration by mail and online

The United States failed to qualified for the 2018 World Cup next month in Russian Federation, but its presence will still be felt - at least slightly. "They're making this big song and it's just so insane."Allegedly, Smith and Nicky were in Budapest recently finishing the song".

Tradition dictates that the track will be performed at either the World Cup opening ceremony, which will be on June 14 before Russian Federation and Saudi Arabia kick off the tournament at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium, or at the closing ceremony ahead of the final at the same venue on July 15.

American-born Nicky Jam is a star of the reggaeton genre, and is hugely popular in Latin America.

The official song of Brazil was We Are One (Ole Ola) by Pitfall with Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte, while the 2010 tournament in South Africa was remembered for Shakira's Waka Waka.
