Gennady Golovkin equalled the 20 successful title defences of middleweight great Bernard Hopkins after crushing replacement challenger Vanes Martirosyan.

Gennady Golovkin provided the fans who came to see his Cinco de Mayo fight Saturday with an extended introductory stroll around all four sections of StubHub Center.

Despite Sanchez believing that Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs) is going to severely punish Martirosyan (36-3-1, 21 KOs) for as long as the fight lasts, he did give him credit for his willingness to fight him.

Martirosyan stepped in to fight GGG last month after Golovkin's originally scheduled May 5 bout with Canelo Alvarez was cancelled due to Alvarez's failed pre-fight drug tests. Despite battling Canelo Alvarez to a stirring 12-round draw last September, Golovkin boasts an astonishing 87% knockout-to-win ratio. However, that was all for naught as Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KO's), 27, tested positive for trace amounts of the banned substance clenbuterol in random urine tests conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association on February 17 and February 20 in his hometown of Guadalajara, Mexico.

When junior middleweight Vanes Martirosyan turned pro at age 18 following an appearance for Team USA in the 2004 Olympics, many regarded him as a prospect to watch and a surefire bet to win a world title.

Defense spending and nations' progress toward reaching spending goals is key to strengthening defense, US officials argue. Luxembourg s veteran Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn told AFP Pompeo had got his point across without causing upset.

Although Golovkin middleweight belts include the World Boxing Association, World Boxing Council and International Boxing Federation versions of the title, only the WBA and WBC belts will be on the line on Saturday.

Very few fighters have captured the imagination in the boxing world as a feared fighter, Gennady "GGG" Golovkin is one of those few boxers that strike fear into his opponents hearts. One week before the fight we came in at 167 so we are in shape and we are good to go.

UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg attended the fight and confirmed her interest in boxing against Braekhus. Although Golovkin has been sharply critical of Alvarez, the stars still need each other for the most lucrative bout either could make. I'm psyched to fight him. "I have a lot of belts". Mandatory challenger Dominic Wade, taken out in two, hasn't fought since. After struggling to find a suitable opponent, Golovkin eventually chose Martirosyan, the former U.S. Olympian with a strong following in Southern California's Armenian community.

One of them is a title unification clash with World Boxing Organization champion Billy Joe Saunders, which is arguably the biggest match-up not involving Canelo.

"She was the hardest puncher I ever faced", said Braekhus who had never been knocked down before. Golovkin wants to clean out the middleweight division. He's a dirty fighter because he was caught doping and that's why we shouldn't spend too much time talking about him.
