The matches of the 2018 World Cup will be held between June 14 and July 15, 2018, at 12 stadiums located in the 11 above-mentioned cities across Russian Federation.

The new formats do not threaten the future of the World Cup, which is being expanded from 32 to 48 teams from 2026, but allow Federation Internationale de Football Association to deepen the "relationship between fans and the game", according to Infantino.

The new competition would run parallel to existing global tournaments such as the European Championship, Copa America, and African Nations Cup, plus the World Cup qualifying stages.

You'll be able to play through the entire World Cup tournament on your own, of course, but can also play through the tournament online against other players.
