CBS4)- Denver Broncos first round draft pick Bradley Chubb met with the media at Broncos headquarters on Friday, one day after he was selected as the 5th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Chubb is expected to be one of the first six players selected, and the Georgia native will be in the greenroom live from AT&T Stadium.

In his senior season with the Wolfpack, he recorded 72 total tackles including 23 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. It's the third time in Elway's eight years as general manager he has taken a pass rusher in the first round as Chubb joins Von Miller (2011) and Shane Ray (2015).

We'll have much more on Chubb's pick and the rest of the draft coming up on the Chevrolet Sports Night!

Elway said his phone blew up with "a ton" of trade offers from other teams desperate to move up to fifth, "but we really wanted Bradley and we're thrilled that he was still there". Chubb desired to emulate Miller's destruction in National Football League backfields someday, but his game required technical refinement.

He said the legal team hasn't yet figured out when they're going to file the lawsuits and is working on making them "solid". Noting he's been the subject of 50 Trump tweets, Comey told "The Today Show", "I'm like a breakup (Trump) can't get over".

This was a coup for the Broncos, made possible by Cleveland's pick of Denzel Ward at number four. "I'm just excited about the opportunity; can't wait to get out there".

As Chubb told Newsday's Tom Rock on Tuesday, he'd be delighted to wind up with the Giants, who now own the second overall pick.

"Like they say, you talk to the team you're going to the least", Chubb said. "Like I said, I'm ready to contribute in any way I can". Like any great pass rusher, though, he said he takes the most pride in getting to the quarterback.

"In this league if you can rush the passer, that is always an advantage on defense", Joseph said.
