"No collusion, all made up by this den of thieves and lowlifes", the president said. Trump said in his post.

The report says that McCabe "lacked candour" on four occasions when talking to a Wall Street Journal reporter past year about the FBI's investigation into a foundation run by Bill and Hillary Clinton, and also neglected to tell his then-boss, James Comey, that he had authorised the disclosure of the information.

In a statement, Mr. McCabe said that he had full authorization to share this information with the media.

"At no time did McCabe disclose to either of them that McCabe had authorized Special Counsel to disclose information about the CF Investigation to the WSJ reporter", the report reads.

McCabe has disputed that assessment and issued a point-by-point rebuttal on Friday. McCabe was totally controlled by Comey - McCabe is Comey!

Mr McCabe, a 20-year veteran at the law enforcement agency, was sacked in March two days before he became eligible to retire with a full government pension.

"Today's Inspector General report confirms FBI Deputy Director McCabe's firing was justified".

Though Trump has called McCabe biased, the story in question suggested that Federal Bureau of Investigation officials wanted to more actively probe the Clinton Foundation but were discouraged from more aggressive steps by the Obama Justice Department.

Overriding vetoes: House, Senate rebuke governor on three major bills
The veto puts Republican lawmakers in a tough position, asking them to vote a second time on a tax increase in an election year. Teachers across the commonwealth continued their protest for more education funding and changes to the state pension system.

Andrew McCabe has always been under fire, specifically by Republicans who have voiced conflict-of-interest complaints over McCabe's ties to the Democratic Party.

The Office of Professional Responsibility proposed the termination based on the findings of the inspector general.

Outgoing Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy says the report further backs McCabe's justified firing.

"McCabe was sacked for disgrace and misconduct - and he lied".

He said the allegations were too thin to support firing McCabe, and he criticized Sessions for submitting to pressure in his "rush to terminate" McCabe. The Inspector General found not only did McCabe divulge sensitive information, he did it without the permission, authority, or knowledge of his supervisor. "This report continues to call into question decisions made by FBI leadership in 2016 and 2017, which is why the Oversight and Judiciary Committees will continue our joint investigation into the matter".

"McCabe had claimed after he was sacked that he did not "leak" without authorization and Comey knew about his decision to discuss ongoing investigations with the press". Comey, who was sacked by Trump in May, called the president "unethical, and untethered to the truth", according to excerpts from the book. But she also disclosed that the Clinton Foundation, the Clinton family charity, was under investigation.

'Both the OIG and FBI OPR reports concluded that Mr. McCabe had made an unauthorized disclosure to the news media and lacked candor - including under oath - on multiple occasions, ' he said.

McCabe was "very unhappy" about being forced off the call, according to the report.
