Leonard is now in NY undergoing further evaluation and rehab on his quad, which has limited him to just nine games this season. The Spurs' medical staff has been present for both of Leonard's extended stays in NY to stay updated on his progress.

"There were 6,000 people there, but I knew he was (referring to) me, and I started crying and said 'God, forgive me, I need a new life.'" Zambrano said he feels fulfilled and hopes to continue preaching the word.

Leonard travelled to NY to continue rehabilitation on his lingering right quad injury and has his own team of doctors focused on getting him back on the court.

The 6-foot-7 forward has worked out at the NBA Players Association facility in Manhattan during both of his stays in NY. Rose, who is a known Spurs and Leonard fan, mentioned that the team's alleged misdiagnosis of his quad injury has made the two-time All-Star lose his trust on the franchise.

During the program, the former National Basketball Association player and current ESPN analyst said he thinks Leonard "has played his final game with the Spurs" and that the latest rumor is "really unfortunate" for both sides. "So when he and his group feel he's ready, then he'll be ready".

Leonard, 26, is a two-time All-NBA Defensive Player of the Year, two-time Defensive Player of the Year and MVP of the 2014 NBA Finals.

The announcement comes after a reported player's only meeting to address Leonard's injury. Unless things were to drastically change over the next few days, Leonard looks to be trending toward being out for the rest of the season.

"I've been through it", Parker told reporters. That remains the case against the Clippers, as Kawhi Leonard will not play due to the "return from injury management" label, according to the official injury report. "You just try to stay positive".

Is there a possibility Leonard could get clearance from his doctors on this trip?

"That's where he's doing his rehab", Popovich said. In limited minutes in Leonard's nine games this season, he averaged 16.2 points and 4.7 rebounds a game.
