James tied Jordan's all-time league record of 866 consecutive games with 10 points or more in the first half of the Cleveland Cavaliers' 118-105 win over the Hornets, hitting the mark off an alley-oop from JR Smith with 6:10 remaining in the second quarter. Among current players, Houston's James Harden has done it in 257 games _ 410 behind James.

"It will probably go in my trophy case with a lot of accomplishments in my life". "That's a good moment, a special moment not only for myself but for my family and for so many kids that look up to me for inspiration, to know that you can actually go out there and do it". "The body of work, how I'm doing it, what's been happening with our team all year long, how we've got so many injuries & things of that nature, guys in & out, to be able to still keep this thing afloat, I definitely would vote me".

"I don't know. It's not like I set out to say I wanna become No. 1 in scoring 10-plus points, double digits for consecutive games or whatever and whatnot", he said.

The last time James scored less than 10 points was against the Milwaukee Bucks on January 5, 2007.

When the Cavaliers (45-30) host the New Orleans Pelicans today, he can break Jordan's mark that ran from March 25, 1986 of his second National Basketball Association season to Dec 26, 2001 - 26 games into his first term with the Washington Wizards following three years in retirement.

Tristan Thompson said that James' streak will extend far past 867, though. "Even when he's like Year 20, he can just post up and drop 10 points. It's going to be on him".

Kemba Walker finished with 21 points and passed Dell Curry (9,839 points) as the Hornets' all-time leading scorer.

"You can say what you want about LeBron, whether it be positive or whether it be a negative, but what he has done is just - it's unbelievable", Drew said.
