Alonso has been one of the Premier League's best defenders since joining Chelsea from Fiorentina, however the presence of Jordi Alba means worldwide experience has been hard to come by.

Álvaro Morata and Pedro were both left out of the Spain squad yesterday, 24 hours after Gary Cahill was omitted from Gareth Southgate's latest England selection for the friendlies against Holland and Italy this month.

'I understand it is a hard time but there is only one way, to work hard and show that you deserve to play [for the national team].

Dani Carvajal, Cesar Azpilicueta, Koke Resurreccion, Lucas Vazquez and Diego Costa were summoned after being excluded from the previous squad, while Alonso, Parejo and Rodi joined the national team for the first time.

Sigh* Cameron Diaz has chose to retire from acting
She then added, jokingly: "And for more breaking news: I am NOW retiring from being Cameron Diaz's spokesperson". And I have a husband who is just my partner in life and in everything.

Morata and Cahill were both left out of their respective worldwide sides, after not featuring regularly for Chelsea in the league. "But now he is back, although it doesn't mean he has a spot guaranteed (for the World Cup)". Maybe, the manager wants to try new solutions.

"Leicester is a good team".

The former Galactico replaced Rafael Benitez at the helm in 2016 and has enjoyed unprecedented success, winning back-to-back Champions League crowns and the 2017-18 LaLiga title. "They chose to continue to play for this club, two years ago".
