Considering the LG Full HD projectors top out at 2,000 lumens that's an impressive jump up for this beast of a unit. Addressing these drawbacks, LG engineers and designers took on the challenge of downsizing the 4K UHD projector without sacrificing image quality. The key feature about the HU80KA is that it has the ability to display a 150-inch picture in any room of your house.

The LG HU80KA, as it's called, is portable enough to be lifted by the handle and placed anywhere. The projector's portable size and unique upright design is made possible by its mirrorless I-shaped engine, which allows the projector to show ideal images whether it is placed on the floor, mounted on the wall or hanging from the ceiling. With integrated support for HDR 10, the device is also designed for the ultimate viewing experience that users can expect out of a projector.

With a maximum screen size of 150-inches, you're going to be thankful for every single one of 4K's 8 million plus pixels. While they are "heavy, expensive, and hard to install", according to the company, the HU80KA is the opposite of all these. Rated at 7-watts, you'll probably want to connect the projector to your sound system. Plus it has USB, Ethernet and HDMI support for connectivity as well as wireless support for external devices like keyboard and mouse.

Court rules against Oregon bakers in wedding cake case
A Christian bakery which rejected a lesbian couple's request for a wedding cake has been ordered to pay them $135,000. Despite this campaign, the bakery quietly shut down and appealed the fine.

Oh, and it runs webOS just like LG's TV lineup so it's got most of the big streaming apps integrated out of the box.

As for the price, The Verge has reported that LG hasn't confirmed anything about HU80KA's pricing yet. Then again, this is CES, so that's nothing to be surprised about. Companies show you the flashy thing, and then wait a couple months before revealing the damage it'll do to your wallet. So while the HU80KA may not exactly be cheap, it will be interesting to know exactly how much it is priced at. The projector has received the coveted CES 2018 Best of Innovation award and is being featured at the tech show next week.
