Penn State Beaver College Shooting: Full Story & Must-See Details

Two people have been killed in a shooting at the Penn State Beaver campus, according to a CBS Pittsburgh report.

State Troopers are describing the incident as a murder-suicide involving an employee of the campus and her estranged husband.

The shooting is being investigated as a murder-suicide, investigators said.

Penn State Beaver later issued an alert that shots were fired, saying the situation was contained and there was "no threat".

Officials said the campus will be closed until further notice.

Johnston-Smith said the shooting occurred outside the building in a parking lot. This was nearby the food services area and the campus dining hall in the parking lot outside.

WPXI reported that the coroner was called to the scene.

Penn State Beaver is about 160 mils west of the University Park campus and 30 miles northwest of Pittsburgh. At least 15 shots were reportedly fired and several ambulances remain on the scene.

The Penn State - Beaver campus is now on lockdown, dispatchers told local news outlets.
