Onslow County Sheriff Hans Miller said that volunteers came from as far away as Raleigh, which is 120 miles southeast of Jacksonville.

It has been five days since the little girl vanished from her home in the dead of night.

He is being held on $1,010,000 bond.

Due to evidence gathered during the course of the investigation, the Sheriff's Office said it believes Mariah is deceased.

An Amber Alert was issued Sunday, when Mariah was last seen around 11 p.m.

The statement says investigators think the girl is dead, but didn't say how she might have been killed.

Investigators now believe that Mariah Woods, who went missing from her home Monday, is dead, according to a post from the Onslow County Sheriff's Office Facebook page. ABC News reports that her mother reached out to the public in an emotion-filled plea Monday.

Earlier on Wednesday, Fatah's top negotiator, Azzam Al Ahmad, said that Hamas was "not committed to the agreement it signed in Cairo".

The FBI was analyzing items recovered during the search, which included sorting through 95,000 pounds of trash from a landfill, authorities said.

An arrest has been made in connection with the disappearance of 3-year-old Mariah Woods.

The FBI said in a statement on Friday that the search for Mariah Woods took deputies from the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office to a local creek, where they used sonar.

Deputies said more charges could be pending.

They were sent straight to the FBI's base in Quantico, Virginia, for testing on Wednesday afternoon. "Four people in the house, two adults and two kids, someone just comes up and snatches the baby and walks out?"

Residents were moved to action following Woods' public appeals for help in the search for her "very sweet, loving girl" with blue eyes and long brown hair. "She's my baby, she's my everything", said Kristy Woods in a press conference.

Arrest warrants obtained by CBS North Carolina report Kimrey obstructed justice by, "removing Mariah Woods' body from the scene of her death and did hide Mariah Woods' death and body, knowing that Mariah Woods died from unnatural causes". They said no information is too small or insignificant when looking for the missing child.
