We've included the announcement trailer, along with an overview of the game that was provided by SEGA, down below.

Expect the same turn-based strategy RPG mixed with third-person shooting gameplay, arty watercolour anime visuals and another score from Hitoshi Sakimoto. The tactical role-playing game will be coming to the west, specifically for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch as well, marking the first time a game from the Valkyria series has appeared on the console.

It is the year 1935 EC. Although the Federation struggles valiantly against the Empire's forces, the relentless imperial military machine threatens to consume them.

But this game focuses on a totally new aspect of casting main characters, as said by the Sega in a press release.

Inside Kim Kardashian's Star-Studded Shower for Baby No. 3
"OK, guys, my baby shower for baby number three ", Kim said in a Snapchat video at the event. If she is pregnant, she's doing a great job of hiding it.

The game follows the exploits of Squad E of the Atlantic Federation as it embarks on Operation Northern Cross in a final attempt to win the war by capturing the imperial capital. You play a handful of characters, including the "eager, young Commander Claude Wallace, engineer/heavy weapons extraordinaire Riley Miller, hotheaded Darcsen Raz, ice-cold ace sniper Kai Schulen, and more".

A new Grenadier class and battleship support options have been added, as well as "Last Stand" actions and larger scale battles. Valkyria Chronicles III also made its way to PSP in 2011, but it never saw the light of day outside of Japan. Visually, it manages to retain the art style for the series and looks better than its predecessors, although it is still not as impressive for a current generation game.

The Valkyria spinoff that came out earlier this year might have disappointed fans but they're going to be delighted with what Sega has announced today.
