Margot Robbie Comes Back as Harley Quinn in Gotham City Sirens

A few months ago, it was reported that Margot Robbie was all for bringing back Harley Quinn in the form of a Suicide Squad spin-off. None of these recent DC movies have lived up to their Marvel counterparts, never mind the DC movies of previous decades.

While details on Gotham City Sirens are still sparse, Ayer has hinted that Catwoman could stand alongside Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn as one of the main characters.

Now, Margot Robbie is reinvigorating this mythology. Although I had some serious issues with how her abusive relationship with the Joker was glossed over in a haze of marketable romance - and questioned the odd departure from her traditional costume - she herself was an unflinchingly awesome character incredibly rendered on the big screen by Margot Robbie.

Again, the evidence here that the actress is being eyed for the role is pretty thin, but the site claims to have seen these orders themselves. So it's apparent that Hollywood hasn't quite settled on who should fill the role of #Catwoman.

The full game itself will hit the streets on January 17 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and is now up for pre-order. Players will be able to explore what lies beyond the mold-covered door, where terrifying growling noises emanate from.

Ayer tweeted out an illustration of Batman villains Poison Ivy, Catwoman and Harley Quinn with the hashtag #Sirens4ever, an obvious hint as to which characters will be in the film.

The early Dini/March storylines also featured The Riddler as a supporting character under Poison Ivy's control, and Hush appeared briefly as a villain. She's already starred in the 2010 adaptation of Jonah Hex.

The final leading lady in Gotham city Sirens is Poison Ivy, and although her times on screen hasn't been almost as extensive as Catwoman, she is just as important to the Bat-family and of course the Gotham City Sirens. Expect Harley to be joined by two other Batman rogues, including Harley's BFF Poison Ivy and the Batman's on-again-off-again lady friend Catwoman. Just to be clear, this is very much just a rumor for now.
