This peace between Obama and Trump comes at a time when America grapples with major protests against Trump's win, which took place even during their 90-minute meeting. I have been very encouraged by President-Elect Trump's interest in wanting to work with my team in numerous issues this country faces. He'll begin occupying the office on January 20.

Less than 48 hours after the 2016 Presidential Election, the White House was brimming with news, with a crisp fall breeze that accompanied a picture ideal day. As the meeting concluded and journalists scrambled out of the Oval Office, Obama smiled at his successor and explained the unfolding scene.

Honorable and full of grace as ever, Obama signaled in a speech reacting to the election that he is rooting for President Trump to succeed, and that we should all be doing the same.

Emerging from the meetings, Trump sketched out priorities for his presidency.

Trump said Republicans would "move very strongly on immigration" and added, "We're looking at jobs". Ryan ushered Trump out onto the Speaker's Balcony and gestured toward the Washington skyline and the monuments west of the Capitol. The view, Trump said, was "really, really attractive".

"The president-elect indicated a lot of interest and understanding the strategy of staffing and organizing the White House, and obviously that's something that President Obama has thought about extensively during his eight years in office", he said.

A large portion of the meeting was spent in discussions on properly staffing up and organising White House operations, he said. Those involved in the process insisted on anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the planning publicly. White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough was spotted by the White House pool taking a walk on the White House grounds with Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.

After a almost 90 minutes meeting in the Oval Office, Obama said they discussed organisational issues related to the presidential transition as well as foreign and domestic policy. They will be judged by the high court of history, and by voters in 2018 and 2020, by whether they use their executive and legislative powers to wage vendettas against opponents and continue business as usual in Washington or to lift the spirit of the nation and govern to improve the lives of our people.

A powerful Iraqi cleric whose followers once fought USA troops says Donald Trump's election victory is a sign of American decline. "We're on to the next phase".

Another early victor was Nigerian hip hop sensation, Wizkid, real name Ayo Balogun, who was named as Best African Act . OneRepublic performed "Let's Hurt Tonight" while rain poured down on the stage, drenching the band.

"The meeting might have been at least a little less awkward than some might have expected", White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters. Many patriotic Muslims fear they will continue to be demonized by new leaders in the land they love - perhaps Mr. Trump can invite Khizr Khan to dinner to find some things they have in common.

The show of civility at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue contrasted with postelection scenes of protests across a politically divided country.

Overall, she thinks Obama's body language says that he is "not hopeful but very presidential".

More than 100 protesters held a sit-in outside Trump International Hotel just blocks from the White House.

Obama had campaigned vigorously across the country, making a forceful case in favour of Hillary Clinton.

The demonstrations drove the president-elect back to Twitter Thursday night.

Known for his unfiltered tweets, Trump was uncharacteristically restrained on social media in the final countdown to Election Day.

In 2006, Cohen won a lawsuit against his former manager, Kelley Lynch, whom he alleged stole more than $5 million of his retirement money while he was in seclusion at the Zen center. A transition website, GreatAgain.gov, referenced 4,000 political appointee openings. "But we don't have any firm word as to when that will be".

Anadolu Agency said Binali Yildirim called Trump on Friday and sent his wishes to the American people.
