Former IU guard Victor Oladipo re-signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder on a four-year, $84 million deal, according to ESPN.

Meanwhile, Utah center Rudy Gobert - dubbed the "Stifle Tower" for the smothering defense he delivers - also signed an extension with the Jazz worth a reported $102 million over 4 years.

"I think it was pretty clear that both guys wanted to be here", Thunder coach Billy Donovan said. Oklahoma City acquired Oladipo from the Magic - along with forwards Ersan Ilyasova and Domantas Sabonis - over the summer for forward Serge Ibaka. Pairing up Russell Westbrook with Blake Griffin might restore some of the faith that the Oklahoma City Thunder fan base lost when they witnessed Kevin Durant shockingly leave the franchise.

It goes without saying that when Adams' new deal kicks in for the 2017-18 season and beyond he will become New Zealand's highest paid sportsman by some way.

McFadden said Adams could play for as long as the likes of former San Antonio Spurs centre and five time National Basketball Association champion Tim Duncan, who retired from the National Basketball Association last season after 19 years in the game.

Kevin Durant scores 39, dismantles old Oklahoma City team
After all, Durant infamously texted Westbrook - as opposed to calling him - to inform him that he was leaving the Thunder. Miles added 19, Jeff Teague had 16 and Myles Turner 15, but it wasn't enough as the Pacers slipped to 0-3 on the road.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have lost two superstars in a matter of five years. The 23-year-old put up six double-doubles and averaged 10.1 points and 9.5 rebounds in 22 postseason games. "That's really good, and that's just kudos to the culture round here and the family environment we bring".

Possible changes to the collective bargaining agreement?would also have made it more hard for Oklahoma City to clear max-level cap space.

Through three games with the Thunder, Oladipo is averaging 17 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and one steal per game. "And for it to actually happen, it's a surreal experience", said Oladipo.

"It was a great factor, a big factor in the decision as well", he said.

"One of the more refreshing things about Adams is he rarely plays outside of himself or beyond his abilities".
